Rebuilding a campaign-driven e-commerce experience from WooCommerce to Shopify.
Before Eight needed an e-commerce setup that could support a more complex sales model than a standard product grid.
The work started with improvements to the existing WooCommerce experience and later expanded into a Shopify migration, including product and order migration, language considerations, VAT/tax configuration issues, campaign tabs, follower-tier logic and custom product presentation.
Campaign-driven e-commerce

WooCommerce improvements, Shopify transfer, order migration, campaign structure, regional tabs and custom buying flows
Before Eight gained a more structured e-commerce foundation across WooCommerce improvements and Shopify migration work.
Before Eight was not a simple “new website” project. The store had to support campaign-based selling, product variations, different buying paths and operational requirements that did not fit neatly into a default e-commerce template.
The work involved multiple phases: improving the existing WooCommerce setup, handling language and content structure, planning and executing a move to Shopify, migrating key store data such as orders where possible, reviewing VAT/tax behavior and refining the frontend experience around how customers actually buy.
The goal was to make the store easier to use, easier to manage and better aligned with the way the business sells.

The main challenge was complexity.
Before Eight was not selling through a simple “one product, one page, one checkout” structure. The store needed to support campaign-driven buying flows, regional campaign tabs, follower-based tiers, custom product options and a buying experience that could guide users without overwhelming them.
There was also a platform transition involved. The project started around WooCommerce improvements and later moved into a Shopify transfer. That meant the work had to consider not only design and frontend structure, but also migration details, order data, language handling, Shopify setup and VAT/tax behavior.
VAT and tax configuration required particular attention because pricing, taxes and checkout behavior can easily create confusion during a platform move if they are not reviewed carefully.
The challenge was to create a cleaner customer experience while keeping the backend practical for real store operations.
- Existing WooCommerce experience needed improvement
- Store later moved toward Shopify
- Product and order migration had to be handled carefully
- VAT/tax behavior needed review during setup
- Campaign tabs and buying flows needed clearer structure
- Product variations and follower-tier logic needed a better frontend presentation
- Language/content structure had to stay manageable
Understand the commerce workflow
Before changing the interface, we mapped how the store actually worked: campaigns, products, regions, follower tiers, variations, checkout requirements and operational needs.
The goal was not to force the business into a generic e-commerce template. The buying flow had to match the way Before Eight sells.
Shape the platform transition
The project moved from WooCommerce improvements into a Shopify migration. That required careful handling of store structure, product data, order migration, language/content setup and platform-specific behavior.
During the Shopify setup, VAT/tax configuration was reviewed so the store could behave correctly at checkout and avoid pricing confusion.
Build for campaign-driven selling
The frontend experience was shaped around campaigns, regional tabs, follower tiers and custom product presentation.
Instead of relying only on default product templates, the store needed a structure that could make complex buying paths easier for customers to understand and easier for the business to manage over time.
WooCommerce redesign support
Improved the existing e-commerce experience before the platform transition.
Shopify migration
Helped move the store direction from WooCommerce into Shopify while keeping the commerce structure practical.
Order migration support
Supported the transfer of key order data so the store could keep important commerce history where possible.
VAT and tax setup review
Reviewed VAT/tax behavior during the Shopify setup to reduce pricing and checkout confusion.
Campaign buying flows
Structured campaign tabs and regional buying paths so customers could find the right option more easily.
Custom product presentation
Improved how product variations, follower tiers and buying options are presented on the frontend.

Before Eight gained a more structured e-commerce foundation across WooCommerce improvements and Shopify migration work.
The project helped turn a complex campaign-driven sales model into a clearer shopping experience, with better organization for regional campaigns, product variations, follower-tier logic and platform-specific setup details such as VAT/tax behavior.
Instead of forcing the business into a default store template, the e-commerce experience was shaped around how the store actually sells — with a cleaner frontend, a more practical backend direction and a better foundation for future campaign updates.
